2018 ESSAY WRITING CONTEST

ELM GROVE, WI – The Elm Grove Junior Guild (EGJG) has announced its annual essay competition for eligible students who will graduate high school by July 2018, reside in the Elmbrook School District or attend Brookfield Central or Brookfield East High School. One $1,500 scholarship will be awarded. Applications may be submitted from February 23, 2018 through March 23, 2018.

2018 ESSAY TOPIC

Discuss a significant personal experience or event that has inspired you to make a difference in your community. What did you learn from the experience and how will you use what you have learned to help your community or others in the future?

The Elm Grove Junior Guild Essay Contest is open to all high school seniors who meet the following eligibility requirements:

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS MUST:
1. Graduate high school by July 2017.
2. Reside in the Elmbrook School District
-OR-
attend Brookfield Central or Brookfield East High School.

One award of $1,500.00 will be presented.
Students related to active members of the Elm Grove Junior Guild are not eligible for the contest.

  2. Do NOT include your name anywhere on the essay itself – this application should be attached to the same email as your essay for identification.
  3. Your essay should be 500 – 900 words maximum
  4. All submissions must be double-spaced
  5. Your completed essay and application must be received between February 23, 2018 through March 23, 2018.
