Our Mission
The Elm Grove Junior Guild is a community of women committed to the education, wellness and protection of women and children within and beyond our community. Our commitment takes the form of service, awareness and financial support.
Our History
The Elm Grove Junior Guild (EGJG) was founded in 1966 by a group of women who shared a common vision of making a difference in their community while enriching the lives of their children. The “Guild” has remained strong throughout these years and continues to serve the Village of Elm Grove and surrounding communities as a 501(c)3 charitable organization. For more than half a century, our organization has been committed to the protection, education and wellness of women and children in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties.
We organize and fund community programs that have become cherished Elm Grove traditions, such as the annual Memorial Day Parade. The EGJG also grants funds to the Village of Elm Grove for various public initiatives designed to make our community a stronger, safer, and more beautiful place to work and live.
Additional funds raised through our annual auction, The Tree of Giving Gala, support local women’s and children’s charities aligned with our mission outside of Elm Grove. Through our granting process, we also award a generous scholarship to the winner of our annual essay writing contest. We look forward to a bright future, continuing to meet the needs of the community while enriching the lives of area families.
